I guess I'm getting used to this new shift, the nice thing is not having to wake up to an alarm clock. The next nice thing is the people on 2nd shift are pretty nice, there are alot less volatile personalities. I can count on one hand the people that annoyed me on 1st shift. Now it's only like 1 person and he leaves at 6:30. The new manager did have to tell me to stop surfing the net while I'm waiting for files to rip, but I respect that. He used to be just another coworker and I developed a good work relationship so I understand he's just looking to run a tight ship and I certainly don't want to ruin that. He even said I wasn't the only one he had to talk to. So as far as the job itself, it's fine, as it can be. Not ideal, but I can't complain. It could be alot worse.
As for the home life, I hope we can adapt. But that's the main problem.

The loop that work threw me was moving my hours from 7am-3:30 pm to 3pm-11:30pm. I was so upset by this and wished I had kept my big mouth shut. I had requested a meeting with my supervisor and the plant manager to discuss some issues I have. And this was the result.
So I've been crying into my glass of white wine and now I'm just listening to Kate Bush. Work has thrown me for a loop. Although I shouldn't be surprised at all. More later.
